The Economy
#1
Oh, hell yes.

Me and Fry had a pretty deep discussion on what could be done with the economy in LVP 3, and here are some points.

- Businesses are dynamic, meaning the owner picks the percentage to charge for the services in cases like import/export, or maybe costs to upkeep a restaurant so that the owner doesn't get 100% every time, but enough.
- Businesses are owned by corporations, which are created by players/groups of players like gangs are. They are saved cross session, and have some kind of income tax applied to them, so that LV get a cut of their money.
- The more money LV has, the better LV. Better cars and such around the place, etc.
- LV's money can help get dead stuff going. If none used the import/export for example, to get it going LV could give $20,000 to each person who does a transaction there.
- A corporation can own a chain of restaurants for example - a load of businesses. Their income is taxed as a whole from all of their profits added up.
- Without paying tax, a corporation can't stay alive, so it's not something a DMer can just have. Work has to be put in.
- Corporations control the city, however DMers don't realize, however they still come into contact whilst buying products. This way, everyone's happy, as there's no cops busting you every time you kill someone.

Anything else I forgot Fry?

And what are your views, guys?

I can't stress enough the importance of marketing goods.
DM'ers don't care about business. They want to have ample health, weapons, a nice way to get around, and basic player needs.
We want this to be complicated, but easy.
Also, players should have to make choices, and have the freedom to make decisions.
Want to raise the price of all of your stuff unreasonably?? Go ahead. We'll have the system punish them.
This would make RPG/DM less of a blend, more of a choice.
