I will say this though: I would have never bought a MAC before OSX 10.4 came out.

I'm currently using Vista, but I'm not always happy with it. XP is for me, but I also like Ubuntu, there's loads of cool effects that you can add, and it just always works, no stupid crashes, too bad I can't play SA:MP on it.

Windows explorer or IE? I never had a crash in window explorer and i dont use IE. I would say, most, if not all , crashes are due to human error. And dont act like unix and macs dont have their own problems either.

Depending on how long you have used xp, you will always have crashes.

I agree. The human error is made in the programming faise. Fortunatly, there are less human errors when working with a unix platform.

ill vote for vista, its like mjaa said, it can be some problems at old games but it has many advantages too
