2nd Place : $1000

Hey, that system sounds a little familiar
It's an interesting idea in my opinion.
I think the players will like it -- as long as there's more than one person doing it.
Though for some reason, I can never swim well.
Maybe it's bad luck, or a character stat -- but other players swim much faster than me for some reason.
Really?, i could swear i got that off the top of my head...
anyways, im starting to have doubts about my idea, i like the triathlon idea, but the track doesnt look to appealing, what are other management members comments on this?
One very important thing about brainstorming ideas, especially horrible ones, is that it's simply a guideline -- a thought provoking thought, in a sense.
The developers/management might not make it exactly as you thought of it, but if they like it, they'll probably keep the same basics. A triathalon. Three segments. There's many ways to do it
Your track idea is very good.
There might not be other places on the map that combine all three elements in such a way that each is equally balanced to give the players a challenge, but not too much to bore them.
Good luck!

The frame limiter can have a dramatic effect on how fast you swim; when I need to do a lot of swimming in single player I turn the Frame Limiter on because of this. (I almost always have it on in SAMP.) Another option if you want to keep the limiter off because of a nice smooth high framerate is to dip the camera below the surface of the water; that seems to help as well, but you have to hold it there.
Back on topic, I like this idea so long as the course is short enough that it wouldn't become tedious; the original suggestion looks like it's short enough but I haven't actually tried it out yet. As Nooblet mentioned, though, biking is normally the second piece.
