So far they have only made weights an option on gaming mouses since that's really the only time you will need it.

the new  nvida gtx 200 is released.. what a disappointment..

the  hd4850 in crossfire for like half the price of the gtx 280 will beat it.

Its overpriced, but when comparing the price of all the cards at release it seems like these prices are not bad.

The GTX 260 performs the same as 2x 8800GT's in SLI and is $400. Getting 2 8800GT's when released would have cost around $575-590. So in comparison, its good, but that still does not make it worth it to buy.

The GTX 260 will have to drop to about $300 for people to start buying it.

yea,  the price aint much..  It's  ati who is cheap.

But gtx200 is to expensive to make so they cant make it so much cheper.. If hd4870 will beat  gtx 260, then they have a problem.

There was a news thing about that today:

Quote:The head of ATI Technologies claims that the recently introduced NVIDIA GeForce GTX 200 GPU will be the last monolithic “megachip” because they are simply too expensive to manufacture. The statement was made after NVIDIA executives vowed to keep producing large single chip GPUs. The size of the G200 GPU is about 600mm2¬¬ which means only about 97 can fit on a 300mm wafer costing thousands of dollars. Earlier this year NVIDIA’s chief scientist said that AMD is unable to develop a large monolithic graphics processor due to lack of resources. However, Mr. Bergman said that smaller chips allow easier adoption of them for mobile computers

All Ati X2 cards?
(All?) nVidia 9xxx series?

Quad will take a while, but 2 GPU's on one pcb are slowly becoming more standard.
