[Idea] Some minigame motivation.
#1
Right now, people play minigames sparingly--whenever they want, and many times, people who start them are left to race alone. That's not very fun, is it?
Right now, people compete in races to win, and they win to get cash - the little bonus on the end.
Unfortunately, for many rich and/or experienced players, those are small stakes. You pay to sign up, and if you win, you get money. If you lose, you don't. Maybe you race to race, since a lot of them are fun to compete in. So, the solution? It's...not really simple.

One possibility is a pot system.
Let's say, for example, that Joe, Jack, Jim and Fry decide to sign up for a race. Each of them pay ten thousand dollars to sign up. Since there are four racers, the pot is $40.000 (4 x 10.000). If Joe wins, he takes home $40.000 and a shiny win message. I think that this would motivate players to compete more rigorously.

But wait -- what if they want to make a little more money?
Let's assume that Fry starts a race, but SETS the PRICE of the race up to $100.000. Jack, Joe and Jim join in. Every player has put in money, and is now competing for a grand total of $400.000. Joe wins again, dominating the others, and bringing home the bacon.
If this WERE implemented somehow, it would probably be used for only the races. I don't really see how people can master the destruction derbies or death-matches. Frankly, betting on those seems a bit silly.
What does the playground say about this?
