What I do when considering buying something technological is spend hours on the net reading reviews and help guides. I suggest you start off by calling your local Tech shop and tell then what you need. When they show you the disk, get the model number and go do lots of research on it. If you like it, buy it off Ebay for 50% retail.

I've been looking around a bit and found a few models I like, however as far as I know you have to be in either USA or Canada to buy things from ebay? Otherwise it'll cost a fortune to ship it. USA -> Sweden is pretty far

I've got that one ^ , but I can't really recommend it. Mine is just 120GB, but the drive runs really hot when I copy some movies to it. However, it's very small (contains a 2.5" drive which are also used in laptops).
It is probably build for people who need to take their data with them, but if you want to use it for data storage, and you have to write loads of data to it (backups for example, big movies), get that black one:

Seems that "the black one" is most likely what I'm going to buy, still open for suggestions on other good hdd's though

Yes its good.. its fast and doesn't 'lag' while watching movies.. like some DVDs lag at first
