Hi Yassine,

I won't go into details about how many of your posts are really low quality, mostly off-topic and causing major annoyance to a lot of forum members. It's simply too much I've deleted in the Development and Main boards alone. We have other boards for these kind of posts where you can be as funny as you like.

Comparing yourself with other forum members is simply a step too far. I've been more than lenient with you concerning your low quality posts. This is your first ever warning on this forum concerning quality posting. It's really obnoxious of you to immediately go after me and accuse me of being unfair and abusive, given the amount of posts that have been removed (a little over 20 posts!). You have no idea what we do behind the scenes, and how we handle user posting.

The ingame part of your complaint is completely separate from the first part, but you use it well to back up your 'abuse' statement. I will respond to it anyway.

One of my goals as an administrator is to create a fair and enjoyable environment for everyone. You, as a player, have several tools available to report players for breaking rules (/report, Complaints, IRC). You tend to behave like an administrator and tell people what to do to make the game enjoyable for yourself. I don't allow that. In addition, fake reports are simply a no go. Combine those actions, and I find that the server is less enjoyable and fair with you around. That gives me the ability to kick you out.

I know you will not agree with my side of the story at all, you've been ignoring many of my suggestions here and on GitHub in general. I find that a shame, because I put a lot of time in supporting you and teaching you. Your behavior does not remind me of someone I would like to have around or put effort into.

Hi Yassine,

It goes without saying that any help you give to Las Venturas Playground is greatly appreciated. You're eager to contribute in different ways, some successful, some less successful.

I'd like to raise a few examples to illustrate this.

In this topic, you wanted to contribute a new race. This turned out to be plagiarism, at times it was obvious that you weren't even reading your changes yourself, and you didn't respond to my questions.

Obviously, plagiarism is not just. Contributing changes to Las Venturas Playground is, again, greatly appreciated, but we do expect you to be willing and eager to learn from our feedback, and apply the feedback yourself as well— you are the one doing the work.

Secondly, both in-game, on IRC and on GitHub, you seem to be under the impression that the role of an administrator comes down to a form of policing. You're usually pointing out people who break rules in some extremely trivial way. To give an example, you made this comment in GitHub the other day:

Quote:Huracan no spam Please

Rules in Github ?

1- Speak on Script (we Don't play Here)
2- Comments just for issues or Rate

Thanks

Yassine

We haven't established any sort of rules on GitHub. I don't see why it would be any sort of issue that Huracan leaves a comment, and we certainly haven't established any sort of restriction on the kind of comments that are welcome there. Where did this come from?

The goal of our administrators are documented on administrator.guide. This is what we're all trying to achieve, which could be seen as an prelude to our Code of Conduct. Why exactly was Huracan's message not acceptable? I don't know.

People are on Las Venturas Playground to have fun. If they can't have fun, we failed. If we would point out every single thing that shouldn't happen, this place would turn into some sort of police state in which everybody should be afraid of the establishment. That sucks. Who cares if somebody swears a bit in good faith, who cares if they dive into an interior a few times, who cares if someone asks a question on GitHub? We don't. Please don't.

By continuously pointing out trivial offenses, expressing an eagerness to contribute whilst not expressing a similar eagerness to learn and often finding attention from members of our staff through a variety of ways, you are putting a fair amount of pressure on us. Sometimes this pressure will be expressed in the form of annoyance and anger. As much as I'd like us to be, we can't always be above that.

Consider taking a step back and enjoy the game. Help players, don't correct players. Collaborate with administrators, don't force their attention. This is why [BB]Diablo. got promoted— he made the game more enjoyable for everybody around him and provided concrete suggestions on how to further improve Las Venturas Playground.

Finally, if cake, or anybody else, expresses a vengeance for certain things that happened by welcoming you with phrases such as "hey copier", then I find that bullying in poor taste. In such cases I would strongly recommend the member of the staff to just ignore them being there.

Thanks,
Russell

Thanks Anyway :P

my warning still on ?

I'm actually a bit sceptical that you read and understand my post. Would you perhaps summarise in two paragraphs how you plan to continue participating within the community?

For example, your most recent post makes me wonder if you read it at all— that adds exactly nothing to the topic. If you can't even be bothered to write your own welcome, why reply at all?
