Thank you for allowing me to troubleshoot this!
It would appear that you're having troubles reaching our "sa-mp.nl" domain name, despite the fact that you can ping it & reach our domain names in your browser.
The play2.sa-mp.nl hostname that I gave you is hosted in a completely different data center like I mentioned, which ruled out our server as being the problem.
I then created an "A-Record" DNS entry under one of my personal domain names using a different DNS provider (
http://dnsmadeeasy.com/) which resolved back to 82.192.76.193, our SA:MP server IP address. Your SA:MP client recognised it just fine, whilst, simultaneously, I saw play.sa-mp.nl was completely dead and displaying "retrieving info".
We know for a fact that the necessary port (7777) isn't blocked, and we know that this isn't specific to your PC since you mentioned the same happened on your brother's PC. Furthermore I know of other players with the same problem.
