Few thousand kills removed from my stats

I noticed my kill/death ratio decreased from about 1.90 to 0.79 from one day to another.
An admin (don't remember who) told me a lot of kills were removed due to hacks. I'm sure the kills I earned were not in any way part of some sort of hack, so I don't understand why a few thousand of my kills were marked as "hack" and removed.

I hereby kindly ask the developers to add the kills again.

9044 kills were removed from your account because an hacker joined our server a few days ago, and managed to get repeatedly fake killed by online players at that time. This caused your stats to get quite messed up. It happened within a few seconds, so you probably didn't even notice.

EDIT: Actually, I was wrong about the number of kills to be removed from your statistics. I've set your kill count to 4300, according to the last stat count available. Sorry for the inconvenience
