House Decoration: Testing 1
#21
@ oost: I installed a crash detect plugin which prints additional information to help us trace buffer overflows. I've set it so the server will terminate when one occurs so we can finally find the id 60+ bug.

This particular issue has been fixed. It was related to the jail handler when a player died. (pretty serious bug too, must've existed for years!)

I'm not really interested in particular object IDs at this point since the handler is not really designed to support every object. It just does ATM for testing purposes.

(07-10-2012, 03:29 PM)LE7ELS link Wrote: 2.) when trying delete all the objects from 1.) at once they weren't deleted aswell

  • Editing/deleting is working for a few objects, working well.

Yeah like I said in the start post I'm not really that interested in object deleting or editing ATM - I haven't finished this part of the handler properly so I'm expecting this not to work as expected. For now I just want to make sure everything saves when creating and placing an object.

(07-10-2012, 03:29 PM)LE7ELS link Wrote: 3.) somehow u couldnt see the objects when /afk and returning back to game - have to reenter the house to see them again

Thanks - added to the todo list.

(07-10-2012, 03:29 PM)LE7ELS link Wrote: 5.) Object-ID 14882 is invisible (cake said this object would be on his monitor but like 5 metres behind x y and z)
Again, GTASA has thousands of objects, some designed for different purposes. I'm not interested in particular object IDs at this point.

(07-10-2012, 03:29 PM)LE7ELS link Wrote: 6.) Object-IDs 2076, 1731 and 2075 aren't saved at all (Interior-ID:30) .. when checking on another interior (ID:25) they were saved as wanted but could not be edited/deleted (in Interior-ID:25 aswell)

I'll check this out, thanks.

  • When you have added a new decoration, the menu 'new decoration, edit decoration etc.' immediately pops up again. When you deleted a decoration, this menu doesn't pop up again. This way you gotta type /house etc. again.

I'll check this out - thanks

Unlock the house before you restart the server.

Yeah don't worry this is an issue in the test server as I mentioned in the start post.
You need to leave the house unlocked to be able to view the interior again and check that the objects saved.

I can't at this point find any problems with the handler when I've tested it. I've fixed a few issues with pausing and virtual worlds and a few tweaks to the interface, but I can't find a reason to not continue the development of it.

thats what i was on.. well must be the fact, that we arent registered on the server and only the actual house-owner can custom the docaration - i think this isnt even bad so the interior-editing will be all up to the owner and no admin can mix everything up  _O-
