What should I purchase?

Well, I'm kind of stuck between two items to buy right now. These items are an iPod touch 4th gen. or Beats by dr.dre solos. I've wanted both of these items for a very long time however I've got an iPod touch 2nd gen. right now and i've got some pretty good sony Piiq headphones, both the headphones and the ipod touch i currently have work just fine. Also dont bother telling me to buy another kind of headphones either. So tell me, what would you do if you were in my position right now?

I know you said not to bother about telling you to buy different headphones, but I have did a lot of research on what headphones to buy and it's definitely not worth buying the Dr. Dre Solos. They are not worth the money, I have heard bad things about them, that they just don't last, although they could be wrong, but I wouldn't take the chance of losing $180 in the long run, when you know the iPod's quality. I think you can find headphones with just as good of quality for around a quarter of the price. If I was in your position I would get the 4th Gen iPod Touch.

Yeah, that's what I'm hearing right now that the solo's are WAY overpriced. Also the ipod 4 brings so much new stuff compared to the ipod 2 such as cameras faster CPUs etc. However beats look really good though and all my friends that own them say they're really good. I'm just worried about the durablity.

My friends have iPod 4th Gens and I have a 2nd Gen and I would really like to have a 4th Gen. They are making games that you can't even play unless you have a higher generation iPod, because of them being faster than the older models, which sucks when I spend a lot of my time on my iPod playing games.

Yes, I've noticed and yes. I have great headphones now, Sony Piiq over ears and they were 60CAD, 1/4th the price of Solo HD's

Well in my opinion I woudlnt buy either No1. Dr.Dre sucks ass No2. Ipods suck ass to mine fucked up within the first night of having it No3. Invest in something usefull that you actually need
