I can't stand WoW, but this game is amazing. I urge you to try it before saying anything else.

yeah, sadly I played WoW, through all vanilla and Burning Crusade until the opening of Sunwell Plateau... And no thanks, I'm not going to play a mmorpg ever again, just wondering if and how long it will take before the monthly bills and stuff are introduced (like, 99.9% of the mmorpgs do, waiting a bit to get people addicted and then starting to ask money for everything)

You are actually talking about MMORPGS, which means as much as "Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game", "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is not a MMORPG as it doesn't include a multiplayer mode, it was created as a singleplayer game (RPG) with a storyline and a lot of quests. To be honest GTA also includes a lot RPG elements.

I suppose you're right, GTA 4 is quite RPG-like in that you have multiple choices as to the outcome of things (who lives, dies, etc).

gta can't be defined a proper rpg game (as most of the typical rpg elements are missing) unless you actually mean samp on rpg servers... and that still cant be defined mmorpg as it is more of an unique thing (like, mmorptps would define it better even if it doesn't exhist as a group lol, massively multiplayer online role playing third person shooter)

And yeah, both rpg/mmorpg are very time wasting and addictive, even though I didn't know it was a sp game and that excludes the introduction of further payments to play

Quote: (as most of the typical rpg elements are missing)

1. You earn money for doing different things.
2. You earn Respect. (Some kind of experience points)
3. You can do missions for money, respect, or both.
4. You can decide how to style your character, you can buy a house to "live" in.
5. You can train your muscles and learn different weapon skills.
etc.

it's always sad to see people commenting on a game they clearly have never tried or worse haven't taken time to find out what's it even about.

just read a few comments and it sounded like any other mmorpg (wow, runescape, age of conan, etc) so I just felt like finding out if it was the next scam (aka wow/runescape being free at the beginning and then asking for a monthly fee) or not.. I wasn't even actually commenting the game as I don't even know what it is about
