Problem with that is, if you survive the fight, but someone else comes along to fight you afterwards, you'd be left with low HP and no pickup versus someone with full HP, (possibly armour) & the pickup.

@Danny: There would still be pickups, but they are all only useable once. Unless far away maybe.

There's a bug in SA-MP 0.3a onwards that no longer makes that possible. I have reported it a few times but I don't think it's possible to fix because of SA-MP's server side streaming.
