It was Leaked by a group of 'trusted' testers, but Mojang apparently sanctioned it after a while.

Downloaded it yesterday night, couldn't find any Endermen, NPC Villages (though NPC's aren't in it yet, apparently). But I found an underground ravine and an abandoned mineshaft though

Found a pretty big abandoned mineshaft too.

The NPC villages are pretty bad imo. The abandoned mine shafts on the other hand are amazing. I found this one which spanned this whole huge ravine, crossing over it at different points. Looked amazing.

Found a couple of bugs too, such as fast-forwarding time in Survival mode and Endermen not teleporting if they're standing in cobwebs.

the time control shit is probably not a bug, but something left in because it's a pre-release build.

Thats awesome, i think Notch just said that the Beta 1.8 will be released sometime today.

Tomorrow the pre-release will be updated, no info on 1.8's official release though.
