Hey I wanted to hack my iPhone for the apps and stuff, had a hard time understanding how to do it. Then someone just told me to connect
via the iPhone to this link www.jailbreakme.com and "download" it to the phone, I did as he told me and all works fine, I just want to know
whats the difference between the RedSn0w and this thingy? If anyone knows something about it please share with me.

The difference between jailbreaks is the security issues they exploit and techniques they use. JailbreakMe.com for instance has used two different exploits, if I remember correctly, one was a PDF exploit, and the other one was Safari-related. Something like RedSn0w uses different exploits to jailbreak the device. Both ways are just fine, but there are two different types of jailbreaks; tethered, and untethered. A tethered jailbreak is one which is lost on phone restart (useless really), and then there are the untethered jailbreaks that stay until you reformat or update the device. I used JailbreakMe.com about a year ago for the 4.0 jailbreak, but sadly these types of techniques don't come along, as the exploits aren't always related to Safari. Hope this answered your questions.
