Screen Casting Requirements?

I'm using Camatasia to screen cast but my PC is a piece of wood, so it lags like hell, which part do I need to upgrade so that it won't lag while recording?

using Intel Pentium 4
512 MB RAM
128 MB VGA card
Windows XP professional SP2

If you have a second harddrive or possible an external, record your videos to it, save your primary drive the stress of writing large uncompressed videos while also running windows and whatever programs you may have running.


(Also prolly a bit more ram.)
