Fallout 3 & New Vegas
#1
Don't get me wrong, I love the games... I played Fallout 3 a few months ago when I got it from a friend. I completed it within a week or two. I hated the ending (no spoilers here though) and had to download the Broken Steel DLC so that I could finish it satisfyingly.

But everything about the game made me feel really depressed. I enjoyed the story as I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic settings, but I don't know what it was... the general atmosphere of the game made me depressed.

Was it just me?

That's why I was hesitant about getting New Vegas. Got it yesterday and I'm so far enjoying it more than it's predecessor. More fun.

Anyway, the point of this topic is for people who've already completed New Vegas. I've hit a part in the game when I have a lot of choices. There may be minor spoilers in this next part.

Basically, I went into the strip, spoken to Yes Man and all that, chased Benny down to the Legion base and have just spoken to Caesar. I have these quests available to me:

Render Unto Caesar - Demolish Mr Houses bunker.
Wild Card: Change in Management - Kill/Disable Mr House & Return to Yes Man
The House Always Wins I - Deliver the chip to House
The House Always Wins II - Upgrade House's Robot Army

I have no idea what to do. What are the repercussions of killing House? Or of not killing him? Should I upgrade his army and THEN kill him? Or upgrade the army and destroy the bunker.

I'm completely stuck.

Legion's pretty ruthless, NCR isn't exactly a lot better though :+

What I did in the end was update the robots and disable House.

I get the feeling the game discourages you from siding with one particular faction though.
