I'd say arm yourself with any kind of empty glass bottle in your pockets / hands, walk to him slowly and smash it straight on his forehead then few kicks to the knee to down him on the floor, then his all yours.

I do that if I'm fighting with someone who I don't know, if it's a fight with my friend it's not that violent.

Just pick at his chin, it'll rock his brain against his skull hard enough for him to get knocked out, my most effective is left jab to the nose which shocks more than dazes, DO NOT swing, it has to be a suprise, just a jab, that'll give you enough time to give him a right hook/swing, put your body behind it and hes out cold, its never failed for me

I wouldn't listen to half of the advice here, it's not in your interest to kill him or hurt him bad enough for him to be hospitalized because if he knows you - you can get into trouble.
