[C] /my fps on or DM without aimbug?
#1
The way the FPS counter is checked when using "/my fps on" is causing aimbug. It's checked using the players drunk level, which is why the camera goes crazy sometimes.

When aiming, especially when there's quite a few players in the server, or when fighting a lagger, the camera kind of jumps out to the side, and it makes it impossible to shoot for a few seconds. Sometimes it happens throughout the whole fight.

It's not a necessary feature, not many people seem to use it anyway, and it makes DM really shit.

I've tested this myself on my own server, and people complained about aimbug, so i removed the FPS checker and everything was fine again.

Edit:

Just want to point out that for those who would like to see their FPS in game, you could always download FRAPS, it's free.

I'm bringing this up because some people I've spoken to about it haven't seen it.

It will be removed from the next version. It's an incredibly inefficient and quite frankly stupid method of checking anyway. SA:MP 0.3c modified a server-side function to make FPS monitoring possible. For every update a player sends to the server (which are about 10 a second) their drunk level is modified to identify it.
I have no idea why the SA:MP devs just didn't add simple client side functionality for it if they where under the impression it would be a useful feature..
