What is your opinion on the giveaways on YouTube?

Hi,

For those of you who haven't been following this, basically xJawz and WhiteBoy7st have been doing giveaways and in order to win something, you had to rate and like the video. If they had enough likes and rating, they would be on the YouTube Top 10 Viewed/Rated video of that day.

Once they got that spot, they would earn back more money than they put in, allowing them to do even more giveaways. The haters said that they're just masking this under "giving back to the community".

On WoodyGamerTag's PKA (PainKiller Already), there was a discussion about this with xJawz, TheMightyHutch, Kyle, Wings of Redemption, Freddie W and Fwiz.

I would like to hear some more opinions on what you think of what's going on here.

I don't really like youtubers asking me to 'like' a video to begin with; if I like a video, sure, I'll click that button, but I won't click it because your video has a damn cat in it.

As for giveaways, I've started seeing these a few weeks ago, and I can understand why people would do so, if I could make money with Youtube I'd do so too

At the same time, it's really like paying for subscribers. So yeah, as long as some guy doesn't start giving away shit every week, I'm ok with it
