Since I've been using Vista I've been crashing a lot too. The only way here to minimize without crashing is as Calvin stated. Anyways I'm about to install W7.

I do too, but most of the time when I go back in and its all loaded I click on resume with mouse and it stays at the esc menu. If I press Enter while highlighted it freezes then I gotta restart my whole PC.

Try running the game in windowed mode. Fixes most minimize-related problems.

Just bought myself a new notebook with W7. Hope that makes me timeout less then I used to do.
