I dont know how much a new gpu would fix fps issues with GTA
A it was a port of a PS2 game (2004) and Rockstar's track record with PC ports hasn't always been stellar. With a GTX 480 then I'd say just find another game lol or just put up with the FPS drops (reformat, reinstall, regedit, mod, or anything to try and fix it). That card can run almost any game out now at max and still be playable, so its strange for GTAA to have such trouble (GTA4 has similar problems due to it being a shoddy port).
