Well, to be honest I haven't noticed the overpowered part too much yet. I haven't found any gun *that* much stronger than any other. I use it a lot since I loved it in cod4 already, and I'm really glad it's back in Black Ops.

Voila. Same here. I was without a doubt the most dominant on Cod4 using an smg, mainly the 74u.

imo the ak74 is shit in black ops, not overpowered or anything.

i prefer other SMGs

AK74u is not overpowered, it's just a "smart ammo using gun"

Afaik the AK74u has the lowest fire ratio between the SMG's, if your concern is pumping bullets in your enemy before he has the chance to aim at you you better try the Kiparis then (yeah I know it sucks as it is, but try it with extended mags+sleight of hand, you can kill people in 0.2 seconds with it). The only thing that makes the AK74u and the MP5K good is that they have a higher bullet damage and lower fire ratio, so that you can kill someone without necessarily emptying the whole magazine on him

mp5k looks and is shit in black ops, im disappointed in the game overall.

while talking about SMGs i prefer using the Spectre (on HC servers only tho, i dont play SC) with extended mags and the thing for more accuracy (dunno how its called, my BO is in german)
