Wave Out
#1
I currently need to record a livestream. This however, fails. Why? Because apparently Microsoft were too fucking retarded to put the Wave Out option back in. What is my question then? Well, since googling didn't give me any good solution, I was wondering if anyone else has got one.
I've tried installing Audacity, but that failed too, due to Windows only recognising motherfucking webcams or microphones instead of the actual PC sound.

Does anyone have a solution?

Try to mess with Realtek settings - if you have that installed of course. I haven't tried on Windows 7, but on XP I can tell that Audacity records sound properly when the option "Mic in" is turned on in Realtek (that means the bubble is highlighted). You can also adjust mic's sound there.

Yeah I know. XP has no problems with Audacity. Vista could figure it out too once I got it to work, but on 7, I can't find a way.
Don't have Realtek settings I believe or so... Or maybe I'm just too retarded.

Try to install it. Maybe it will help.

Do you have a "Stereo Mix" option? I believe it does the same thing as wave out.

You might find something useful on this page too.

Get Virtual DJ 6.2 (quite easy to find on any torrentsite)

Install it,
start it up,

go to the tab saying 'record'
click on config,

in the option 'record from' select 'Line In'
behind 'Line In' select 'Stereo Mix'

Give the record file a location and name like:
C:\Documents and Settings\Maka's PC\Bureaublad\RecordedLiveStream.mp3

click on OK and then click on 'Record'
and play the livestream.

Be aware, all sounds the PC makes are recorded so make sure your msn or GTA doesn't make a sound.
Maybe a lot to do but one thing is certain ( IT WORKs)

PS.
Test it:
Record like 10 or 20 seconds and see if it worked.

Groetahh!
