Problem with the CD reader
#1
when I openany CD, it fails to auto-run.

Instead it produces a dialog box saying "D:\ Application not found".

|t is the same for any CD. I don´t know how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks ;)

No :S that's the problem. The cds don´t run automatically, and if I do it, I saw that information.

I'm guessing there's something wrong with your CD reader? Try cleaning the dust out of it.

Buy a new one then. It's cheap anyway.

Hmm... Is the drive being read at all? If that is the case.

Before you start blaming your cd/dvd drive it looks to me it may be a problem with windows thats now allowing it to work. Take your Cd drive out and plug it into another computer to see - will be no drivers or anything to worry about.

Worst case scenario is you need a new cd/dvd drive.  You can buy a cd/dvd drive that also writes/burns cds/dvds for about 10 dollers these days. They are the cheapest PC component

This is pretty weird. Anyway, If I can´t solve the problem I can go to the place where I bought it. I just bought it six months ago, I was trying to fix it by myself., but is getting hard :p but thanks you all ;)
