Removing /hideme

Considering the fact that the new command /hideme has become discussable, some people dislike it (like me), but on the other hand, it's good for sniping. Although I think it has been recently changed/fixed: now the nametag is only hidden, not the player icon, which should be vice-versa, because you do realize that you can't see either way player's name from a long distance. I also saw a player today in-game who had put /hideme on and his nametag alongside with icon was completely hidden. I mean I could go on and on, but other people must have a say too, that's why I created this topic. Tell why would you want it to be removed, or what would be the appropriate way to fix it. Yet if you voted for "Yes", state the reason why it should stay as it currently is.

I'm requesting a move to "Open discussion" so everyone could have a say, or else there will be more useless "complaints" about it.
