FPS help

I just installed fraps and I see that I only get 25 fps while playing sa-mp at highest resolution. Since a friend of mine told me that my laptop isn't bad at all, I expected some more. So I set my resolution and draw distance to the lowest and I still get 25 fps. I thought there should be a difference between highest and lowest res, but there isn't.

Maybe there is an option in my pc or game which is wrong? Somebody has an idea?

GTA SA isn't capable of getting a high FPS.
Hell, I'm getting over 250fps on COD. On GTA, I used to have like 40-60.

Don't worry about it, I'd say.

lol, disable Framelimiter in your video options. Thats usually turned on and limits it to 25fps.

Either turn it off, or type ingame /fpslimit 100

I have it too, when i log in my fps is standard 25...just type /fpslimit 100 and if ur laptop is any good u'll get 40-60

And once you do do that, Press f7 to remove the txt outline, +10 fps.

Yes, by pressing F7 once your FPS will increase. Mine goes from 80 to 120 (according to x-fire's FPS). I didn't believe it when iou first told me about it but I tried it out and it will give you better FPS.

all i did was setting my game resolution to 1024x768 on my 1680x1050 monitor.
smaller resoulution means less lag
now i do /fpslimit 45 every time i log in and it works fine.
