I haven't been able to play samp for about a year now, but I am just starting to remember pawno and was wondering if anyone might be able to teach me how to start scripting or could direct me to a tutorial?

Well, some advice, goto samp download page and download current server files first, and start with editing "lvdm.pwn" file, its simple and editable. Use samp.wiki and samp forums to get help when u got some problems.
