Quote:I still don't see with these debates outstanding how it makes it okay to proceed with these news posts though. Like you mentioned about the lack of planning, or even anything to suggest we're going to successfully pull it off, we're constantly promising it to the players.

It's ok because the current arrangement the Development Management has with the Core Management has not been modified yet, thus still is in place. The proposal got rejected because it was too vague, on which a Development Manager suggested (on the 23rd) that a new proposal would be coming in "asap". Nothing has been received so far.

Quote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but it took you guys long enough to reject that proposal. Matthias posted it on 18th April. 8 days later (2 days prior to the next update due date) we finally got a response that it was denied

It was received on April 21st, exactly 41 hours later it got rejected. That's less than two days.

Quote:I don't think adding times to Milestones is going to work. Sure it would be great, I'm not saying we're not going to at least try and meet deadlines - I worked pretty hard last week to meet the due date of "Milestone 1"

In that case milestone planning is too strict. That's a thing the Development Management should arrange.

No reply again, fine. I am hereby concluding that the update protocol issues have been resolved, primarily based on the lack of further replies originating from the involved Developers and their Management, both in this topic as in the topic located in the Management forum-section.

If you want to complain about the response time of the Core Management, which generally will be within 48 hours, but fail to reply yourself within a decent period of time -despite being personally asked to reply (as I did last Saturday around 18:00 CEST on IRC)-, we cannot take these complaints seriously. You are welcomed to open up another topic as you please.
