My mousepad is almost broken tho, once i really cant use it anymore i might get a Steelseries SX

Is the mouse pad really necessary? cause im having a hard time with my mouse. I dont use mouse pad, so its just sitting on wood, but sometimes my mouse doesnt respond, or goes left quick, and doesnt go right if you know what i mean >.> and sometimes its not responsive at all  :? :?

Keyboard: Logitech LX 710 wireless
Mouse: Logitech wireless (mouse and keyboard came in combo)
Headset: Speakers
Mouse pad: none

Headset/Headphones: Sennheiser HD202 (probably soon the HD-25-1 II or HD-25 SP II series), crappy KONIG headset but does the job.
Mousepad: Nothing.
