SA-MP with Steam

Can it be done? I found a link to the GTAforums about it being possible and now I'm just waiting for San Andreas to be downloaded, so I thought I'd kill some time and find out if anyone knows anything about it

You can add any custom game to your steam list you want.

I read however that if you download SA from Steam it can't be downgraded, which means it can't be used with SA-MP. Yes, no? Or am I just reading bull?

That's right, however you should be able to add SA and SA-MP as a custom game.

its indeed possible true costum list,
but! i hate steam so i recomand you to not do it.

Steam Weekend deals, STEAM Community chat ingame, join a friends game, (voice)chat, see what your friends are playing, manage all your games from one client, automatic updates, news, patches, downloads cant corrupt, no dvd needed for playing, available from anywhere where you sign in, [...]

STEAM has a lot of great features, can't understand all the people that bash it, made me enjoy gaming alot so far

Trust me, buying Grand Theft Auto for £10 more than it would be in an on-the-street game shop isn't what I want to do, but I cannot be arsed going to find it.
