Those of you who laugh have not experienced what HIV does to someone emotionally. Not only is it a tragic experience in that the person may die from it, but also because of the social implications and stereotypes that comes with being infected. It is not uncommon for people to avoid you just because you are infected (this makes finding an intimate relationship difficult). There have also been people who have committed suicide over the news of being infected. This individual deserves what he got for infecting his wife and if she ends up dying from the development of AIDS, he should be convicted of negligent homicide.

Even though my post shows me laughing, I don't find HIV funny...or the trouble the man with HIV had to go through to get loved again, or what the wife will suffer from (or the children for that matter).

It was the way the story was written that made me chuckle a little, making him sound like a big sad person who went through extreme measures for pleasure.
