Development Team Responsibilities
You, as a member of the Las Venturas Playground Development Team, have certain responsibilities. The server has to be kept up to date, and therefore we're hereby instating a few rules which must be followed. These rules are non-negotiable and have been accepted by the Management and the Lead Developers.
Weekly Gamemode Update
The Gamemode on the live server has to be updated at least on a weekly basis, however, more updates are fine of course. The update moment which has to be met every week will be on Wednesday at 17.00 GMT. At that time the AMX file has to be finished, all bugs (and new features) have to be finished and extensive testing on the Test Server has to be finished. Upgrading the main server will usually happen two hours after this, being around 19.00 GMT.
Weekly News Message
Together with the in-game update a weekly news message is a requirement. Together with the AMX file, the Management must have access to the news message on Wednesday at 17.00 GMT. The Message has to include all updates, features and bugfixes, and will be added to the website by a Management member just after the in-game update. When giving the message to the Management, the message has been discussed with all involved Development Team members.
Weekly Activity
As a member of the LVP Development Team you make at least two commits per week, unless there is reason to not meet this minimum amount. If you think you cannot make two commits in a certain week, you tell the Lead Developers at least three days in advance. Weeks start on Wednesdays. If you haven't told a Lead Developer by Sunday, it's your responsibility to find a solution making sure that two commits of you do come in the next week.
The Developer which created most updates in a certain week can have his name associated with the News Message. This will be decided by a Lead Developer just before posting the news message. Typo- and grammar checking will be done by the Management.
