Cabaret vs Stand-Up
#1
So, what do you guys think, do you prefer Cabaret or Stand-Up?
Explain why...

I personally prefer Cabaret, often more sense in the story the cabaretiers tell, often more of a storyline not some jokes lined up after eachother. Not that I don't like Stand-Up, but I just prefer Cabaret.

Ok now what about you?

I'm not very familiar with cabaret but most stand-ups I've seen do have a natural flow to their routine- comprising usually of a number of stories and topics, even characters (George Carlin, Jon Reep, many have this routine where the jokes have a flow, climax and then it's on to another few smaller jokes followed by another 'story').
Sure there are stand-ups who I believe have a strong routine made up of hundreds of small, relatively disconnected jokes, for example Steven Wright and Rodney Dangerfield, but they are a couple of the top stand-ups of all time so it's easier for me to enjoy that particular type of routine coming from them than a couple of amateurs.

I'm a huge stand up fan, but I hate comedians like Dane Cook and other retards.
