Hi, i want to update to latest .net framework. Currently i have .net framework 1.1 and want to get 3.5 or latest one, but i download it and run it and nothing happens.

Download the .NET Cleanup Utility and choose 'all versions' - click 'cleanup now', then install 3.5.

Its not working, i download .net framework 3.5 , i try to run it, nothing happens. I even click Run As Administrator and nothing.

I got Win7 btw.

you cant just install the newest version.

if you have 1.1,  install 2.0 first, then 3.0 and then 3.5

Ill try that, but im curious, what is .net framework exactly? And what is it used for?

Well, I'm not very sure, but anyway, same shit happened to me when I wanted to install GTA IV. It just didn't run. Afaik, you shouldn't worry about it because if I'm not wrong, Windows 7 already has .NET Framework 3.5 included so maybe that's why it didn't run in our case...

That is wrong, when you only have .NET Framework 1.1 you can't just install 3.5 over it.


PS:  Windows Vista comes with .NET Framework 3.0 and  Seven with  3.5.
