Fireburn! Something to figure out: Would it be heavy to calculate the distance a player has driven in a vehicle?
If so, maybe VIP only, or if it's still to heavy, #care about this idea
If it's possible, we could add some achievements, like 100 miles, 250, 500 and 1000. I have absolutely no idea how long it would take to reach this achievements, but it should, of course, take a while before they have the 1000 miles achievement. (Or, 10k, 100k, w/e)
[19:56:12] <+Nuwuni> Message from Sander: Just got a crazy idea for a new achievement, inspired by CoD's "Sprint x miles"
[19:56:30] <+Nowani> Message from Sander: except that measuring it for every player would be 2 much, but for VIPs, we have a speedo
[19:56:51] <+Nuwani> Message from Sander: some calculations based on the speed cool be used for an achievement: Drive 250 miles, or w/e
[19:57:20] <+Nuwini> Message from Sander: needs some calcluations, and if they are not too heavy, it would be a funny achievement
[19:58:22] <+Nuwuni> Message from Sander: and, measuring the distance can probably be disabled if they have the achievement
[19:58:28] <@Jay> speed is calculated for every player
[19:58:32] <@Jay> whether they have a speedo or not
[20:25:48] <%Sander> Anyway Jay, so speed for every player, k.. and would it be possible (Yes, but also performance wise) to calc some average speed * something = distance ?
[20:26:45] <@Jay> That's Fireburns department
[20:26:52] <@Jay> yeahit would be possible
[20:26:54] <%Sander> Fireburn!
[20:27:01] <@MrBondt> Fireburn!
[20:27:02] <@Jay> But I dunno how heavy it would be
[20:27:10] <%Sander> Thats the point
[20:27:25] <&Wesley> same calc I think
[20:27:37] <@MrBondt> the server needs to train a bit more before you put in that code.
[20:27:43] <%Sander> My suggestion would to make it VIP, or maybe regular players, only
[20:27:49] <@Jay> How so, Wesley?
[20:27:50] <&Wesley> I think its calculated already anyway
[20:27:57] <&Wesley> speedo has to know distance
[20:28:01] <&Wesley> in order to calc speed
[20:28:02] <@Jay> It uses GetVehicleVelocity
[20:28:06] <@Jay> or it should at leats
[20:28:18] <&Wesley> oh right
[20:28:19] <@Jay> least*
[20:28:24] <&Wesley> hmm then
[20:28:29] <&Wesley> v=s/t
[20:28:42] <&Wesley> hmm
