I was hoping I could just buy one or two things, but turns out my Motherboard isn't compatible with newer hardware (such as AM3 processors and DDR3 RAM)

So bearing in mind I don't want to spend too much over 300 Euros, thoughts on this system?

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition (3.4 GHz) - 89,90 €
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L LE - 58,90 €
RAM: DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Blue, 4 Go, PC3-12800, CAS 9 - 25,90 €
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6870, 1 Go - 139,99 €

Total - 314,69 €

I already have a case, a PSU, CD Burner and two HDD's.

Some good specs but hardly "newer hardware", although it will definitely give you nice performance! :) I myself would go with similar parts as frankly newer gfx cards for example such as radeon 7770 etc can't compete with the radeon 6870..also the 965 is a great processor for the price..so thumbs up to you and good luck 8)

Thanks ;)

Yeah, the age of the hardware doesn't really bother me. In my computer at the moment I've got a HD 4850 and DDR2 ram - old stuff, but I use it for new games and software... things just tend to run slowly and crash more often than they should.

Haha, yeah definitely.
Btw, have you heard this tune yet, it's getting released on "mau5trap" (which I never expected to be honest) and it's fucking massive.

Same here.

Thanks for updating this hitman... cool :D

Btw...
AMD  HD 7770 1024MB, Radeon HD 6770 1GB, or Geforce GT610 2GB.. which one do you think is better?

Of course GT610 is the cheapest among these but it would be useless if its performance isn't good enough.

And my CPU is a Pentium G620 Dual core 2.60 GHz.
