Introduction
The 'Bugreports' section is no longer open for new topics, instead you will be able to report bugs on a different website. If that's all you want to do, you can start reading from "How do I report a bug?".
If you want to post a feature, or a suggestion, use the CSI section.

What is happening?
To keep track of what we are working on, we use Mantis (which works like a to-do list, more or less). To this date, it has been private and only viewable by members of the development team as well as the crew. Bugs reported by players, in that section of the forum, have been dealt with in that specific topic or by a crew member adding the bug as a ticket on the Mantis.

From now on, after a few edits in the Mantis, players will be able to view and report bugs in a project called 'New Issues'. This will make us (the Las Venturas Playground Development Team) able to keep better track of what we do and will save us the time to copy things from this forum onto the Mantis.

When you have reported your bug and it has been checked (confirmed) by a developer, it will be moved to our private project, which is not viewable by everyone for obvious reasons.

How do I report a bug?
I'm glad you asked! Here's a brief how-to guide:

Step 1: Go to the Mantis: http://todo.sa-mp.nl/
Step 1.1: If you want to register, click the 'Signup for a new account' link under the Mantis logo. If you want to login, click the 'Login' link in the same menu. You don't need to register to report bugs, however, we appreciate if you do.
Step 2: In the upper right corner of the website, there is a drop-down menu called 'Projects'. In that menu, select 'New Issues' and click the 'Switch' button right next to it.
Step 3: You should now be able to see a 'Report Issue' link in the menu on the top - click that.
Step 4: In the drop-down menu called 'Category', you select 'Bugs'.
Step 5: Select the correct option in the 'Reproducibility' menu. Basically, can you reproduce the bug or not?
Step 6: In the 'Severity' menu, you can select how important you consider the bug you're reporting to be. If you feel unsure about this, just leave it as 'minor'.
Step 7: Write a 'Summary' (more or less just the title you want to give the bug).
Step 8: In the 'Description' field - carefully describe the bug according to this form:
  • What were you doing?
  • Where there other players which encountered the same problem?
  • Was it only once, or did it happen all the time?
  • Did you try to reconnect first?
Step 9: If you have anything else you want to tell us, enter that in the 'Additional Information' field (for example, if you haven't registered, you can tell us what your nickname on LVP is). When you are finished, click 'Submit Report'!

Conclusion and Troubleshooting
We hope that this will work out well and save us both time and effort. We do not, however, want to loose any bugreports and that is, for instance, why registration on the Mantis is optional.

If you are experiencing problems or difficulties reporting bugs, you may post in this topic describing the issues you are having, and we will try to help you out there. Don't give up - your report is important to us!

Felle
