Theres no need, they don't email you or anything.

They just keep it so if you're a girl, the management will add you and start to chat you up.

They actually do with the beginning of 2.9, FarePak. I thought it didn't as well; I even had an argument with a new player in PM, telling him that he was full of shit. Yeah, I was wrong. :+
