Also Kase, you could try this:
1. Select the render layer
2. Grab the Magic Wand Tool
3. Click somewhere in your sig, not on your render itself.
4. Press CTRL+ALT+D and use ''5'' (or less)
5. Press delete
6. Deselect (ctrl+d)

When i wanted to add text it kinda screwt up, and i dont know what a border is lol

hey Daniel, there's some edges on the guy that look like you missed erasing (around the hair and shoulder). but aside from that it looks pretty good

A simple border around your signature 

Try to blend the text, try many colors (even gradients) until you find one which ficts with your signature

Good job Daniel! A little tip, try to use renders with action in them, like the one in the second sig

Also, use < 150px as height
