Good one, BUT:

Dont take 2GB of ram.

Either take 3GB (3x 1GB) or 6GB (3x 2GB). The Nehalem processors support Tri-channel so you should have 3 or 6 ram modules.

And, your DDR3 ram has to have a voltage below 1.65V, which is so low that only a few rams match that.

So suggest buying a "nehalem ram kit" with either 3 or 6GB, they are optimized on tri-channel and the voltage.

I would honestly suggest against buying a Core i7 computer right now. Unless you are doing lots of video/photo editing or video/audio encoding, then i doubt you will notice any performance increase over a Core 2 Quad.

If you do go with this computer then i would suggest against that hard drive since i honestly don't know what drive that is. Seagate does not currently offer any 750GB drives with 8mb cache meaning that it is probably a very old drive.

I know a goo amount, but compared to most hardware enthusiasts, i know nothing :P

Check out http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/index.php? you should see the ridiculous amount a lot of people there know about comps.

cloakster is right, the HDD seems to be an old one.

By the way, i wouldnt buy a Seagate HDD now. A lot of Seagate HDDs crash after ~8 weeks, and thats true. Its a current news that Seagate brings a lot of new HDD bios' to repair the still-working ones.

I recommend you a Western Digital Caviar Series with 640GB (better than a 750GB, a lil faster)

there are three series:

Caviar Green - 16MB Cache, 5400rpm, not as fast as the other series but quiet and less power consumption
Caviar Blue - 16MB Cache, 7200rpm, very fast
Caviar Black - 32MB Cache, 7200rpm, same as Blue just with 32mb cache
