Ok why have crew + bots saying no swearing? whats the need for that when you can script in a content filter....

i've seen people say fuck shit arse cunt piss bastard. and nobody says a thing at times. Yes there are crew on at this time too...

I've said "you warp like a sticky shit!" "piss of you laggy shit" all sorts of things like that. and nothing happens. Sometimes an admin will pull people up about thie language or mute.

But why waste admin + mods time doing this when a content filter would be far better...It would free up their time to check cheaters.

Im having to report things 5+ times sometimes, risking getting kicked for spamming.

So...a content filter to filter those naughty words...

It could either be **** instead of the word, or replacing the word with silyl words...

If you guys feel that strongly about swearing, it would make more sense to have the content filter..

Oh and if they attempt to use those naughty words, give them an auto warning... 3 auto warnings = 2 min mute...

We were thinking of adding such a censoring feature, however once I thought over it it wasn't a good idea with the server going official.

Why? Well, it'd be rather laggy to do. It'd require a loop through every single word in every message, comparing to a list of words. Then the string would have to be changed and sent again. With 170 players all chatting, this might not be the best of ideas..

Ah, good point...Its pretty laggy at times anyway with 100+ on so that would make it unplayable.
