Graphics card suggestions?

I'm looking to buy a new graphics card for my PC. Are there any suggestions for graphics cards? My price range is to about $85.00 to $90.00.

I'm just looking for something to run Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 smoothly and not on all low settings. Is there a graphics card for around price that would give me the ability to run on max settings?

Today I downloaded the Call of Duty 4 demo and I was shocked at how laggy it was on my machine. I decided to turn everything to low settings, and I was certainly not pleased with how it looked.

Perhaps you all can suggest me a graphics card? Are there any cheap (but reliable) video cards out there which can run COD: MW2 smoothly without having to switch everything to low settings?

GeForce GTS 250 1GB should be in the price range and would do the job pretty good.

Also make sure that your graphics card fits your CPU and ram.

I'd go for the ATi 5570 or 5670 with Directx11 for the future.

Keep this in mind, if CoD4 ran horrible on your pc, then your graphic card might not do much. Make sure what graphic card your pc can have, you cant just buy any and fit it in.

I've got Nvidia GeForce GTX 260, and I can run MW2 without no problems at 1920x1080. Dunno if the price is within your limits though.

I have GTS 250 1GB and can run anything I throw at it. MW2 can run at 130 FPS on VERY HIGH AAfull settings 1680x1050. Also GTA IV on 30~40fps but you need a good processor. It's cheap, strong, and high end graphic card of 9800GTX.

9800 GT is good for MW2 (maybe will run on low/medium) but a 9800 GTX+ is better. GTS 250 is a rebranded 9800 GTX+ and cheaper besides that a GTS 250 1GB is DDR3 while on 9800 GTX+ there is no 1GB DDR3 oh and also the GTS 250 is smaller and doesn't heat up like 9800 GTX+.

If you bought one of them, use EVGA Precision software to control the fan's speed.
