I would watch Lost normally so that's a good serie if you want a serie. But I quit it cause it was getting boring. But maybe if you can see one season at one time, it wouldn't. I quit Lost because I was tired of the cliff hangers at the end. 
What I think is a good movie what has the same genre as this game is Snatch. It's a very funny movie with some gangster stuff in it. You should really look that movie sometime
