And that is supposed to absolve Linux of every security problem it has? And u say ur technically adept?
I think i found the problem with our discussion TRaven. You actually think if a something is free and open source, it automatically becomes superior to something that isnt free and open source. Where as, i call it a hobo OS. Like the hobo on the street willing to do it for free. Ur reasoning is, Linux and such hobo OS are free and open source and therfore are better than XP. By that logic, if MS made a hobo OS, it would be supperior to XP. By that logic, ANY OS that is free and open source is by nature superior to XP. not very practicle, but its free and beggars cant be choosers.
I think that is a very nice way of putting it. An agency goes broke and has no money to get the required software.... so they use a second rate cheaper alternative, thats not very practicle but hey atleat its free and open source, and call it superior for being free and open source.
There is a word for that...delusion?
The fact that you can modify it to fit your needs and the fact that it's free can push it in a professional's mind to the top.
also about your quip on my technical proficiency because i dont run an anti virus, you're the type of person that thinks that viruses and hacks happen just cuz. But to someone who has an understanding, we know what causes it and what to avoid (not avoid porno websites and stuff like that, what to avoid in system practices).
and you calling the NSA a broke agency is incredibly laughable. (and it's not NASA, it's the NSA, maybe you should update your knowledge on agencies)
