That is GREAT!!!
I mean, I don't know all that much about cpu problems (only what I have learned from my tech friends) but that is just funny as hell. Here's another one, not a tech problem, but a Customer service problem (I worked Customer service for Earthlink at one point).
Caller calls up. "Thank you for calling. How may I help You?" I asked. "Yea, I ordered DSL service from you guys about a year and a half ago, and It still isn't working." Confused, I asked, "Well what's your account or phone number and I'll pull it up and we'll see what is going on." I pull up his account and He DOES have DSL service, but Earthlink DID NOT OFFER DSL in his area, even tho it was on his account. I get confused and ask, "Sir, did we have someone set up your equipment?" "No." "Did we send you equipment? (modem ect.) "No but I got a box not that long after I got it and it's been sitting by the door ever since." Not being able to stand it, i push the mute button and Laugh, then come back. "Sir, how long have you been without service?" "I got it about a year and a half ago. I haven't been able to use it since I got it and I want my money back!"
Mute. I check his balance and he HAD been paying 40 a month for a year and a half for DSL he never set up, we didn't offer in that area, and I didn't have the power to give him that much money. "Sir, I believe that we have had a mix up. It seems we do not offer DSL service in your area. There must have been a mix up durring your sign up process. I would refund your money, but I have to transfer you to my manager so they can clear this up. Thank you for calling" "WHAT THE HELL!! YOU-" Transfered to Manager.
Not sure if he got his money back.
