You don't need any background in programming either, however, you'll have to motivate in your e-mail why you want to help and what you are willing to do in order to learn the language (e.g. reading boring manuals, buying a book if you really have troubles and are willing to search on the internet, as well as in sources we list). We're fine with helping you with whatever you have problems with, as multiple members in the team already are experienced with the language.
