I have to say I fell victim for abusage of my nickname. As soon as I returned from /pause and realized Peter was on and that the ship was acting weird, I got ready with the F8 button. Here are a few screenshots:

^ Here I see my own nickname reporting that the ship is closed for maintanance. I first thought everyone was seeing their own nickname saying that, but as people started asking me about the ship-cows, I started to believe that 'Felle' showed for everyone.
Same with the following screens (sorry for the interrupting "Screen taken" messages):
