Personally I use firefox and sometimes safari for webdevolopment. IE has a some weak points especially when it comes to standardization. When coding a website by x-html strict the layout will work flawless in FF, Opera, Safari and other browsers who DO use the w3c standard. When viewing that same website in IE it has a very high change of looking fooked up. ou have to apply hacks in order to make it look right, hacks take up more code and therefore increasing loadtimes for all browsers.
Secondly IE seems to use features found in other browsers such as tabbed browsing from opera and the loading bar in the addressbar from safari (if I'm corect).
By the way, Opera just sued mircosoft for enforcing IE's monopoly position. And for not using the proper web-standards.. PWNT.
Well, thats just my 2 cents.
