Databases usually have the primary key, i.e. something unique to define each entry. Each user profile has an 'id', and starts from 0 or 1 or whatever (depending on your settings) and counts up. You'll never get two profiles with the same key, and everyone's posts are identified as theirs with this key - not 'tomozj' or whatever.
So, infact, it's not in alphabetical order. Just, #1337 is a member called null.

Also, if there's only 1337 members at that time, and you say that they're in alphabetical order, how can #1337 (which would be the last entry meant to be) start with "n"?
